Yes you can. It all depends on your work out and your diet.

As long as you are taking the Amino Prime diet before your workouts you can either decide to bulk up or get shredded. It is totally up to you and what goals you may have.

We have already covered how you should be working out when it comes to get shredded using the Amino Prime diet. If you haven’t read that article you can do it here. If you want to bulk up instead of losing weight, then I suggest you read our article about how to build muscle and gain weight using the Amino Prime diet.

When it comes to using the Amino Prime diet to build muscles and lose weight this is the 2. Article in a series of 3 articles, here we are going to take a much closer look on what type of diet you should be eating when it comes to building muscles and get rid of body fat.

There is an old saying stating that “you should be eating breakfast like a king and dinner as a poor man.”

This is actually true if you want to get the best results cutting down on your body fat and lose weight without losing any muscle mass.

Don’t Let Your Girlfriend or Wife Dictate How You Should Lose Weight

A huge mistake a lot of guys do when it comes to losing weight is that they listen to much to their girlfriend or wife that will put them one of these low calorie starvation diets, they are doing themselves.

This is the worst thing you can do, not only as a muscle builder but also as a man. For one simple reason that we have more muscle mass than a woman.

When we lose our muscle mass we will be burning less calories and the result will be that we will gain weight and become fat.

Protect Your Muscles

You will lose weight in the beginning doing a starvation diet but this is mostly because of the loss of muscle mass because they will quickly will start to shrink. The body fat itself will often stay the exact same because it is easier for your body to burn of muscle mass than stored body fat.

With the low calorie diet you will simply lose high quality muscle mass that will would have been burning off between 50 and 100 calories per pound of pure muscle mass per day. This can really add up in the long run.

So forget about these types of diets and ask your girlfriend or wife why she keep going on the same diet every year in January? Simply because they do not work!

So, what should you do instead?

My Personal Amino Prime Diet

Me personally when I want to get rid of body fat I only make a few changes to my diet in order to avoid unnecessary calories being stored as body fat.

What works better for me when I want to lose weight is to ramp up my cardiovascular training instead lowering my calorie intake and then just stick to a healthy diet most of the time. A diet that gives me the proteins, fats and carbohydrates my body need.

Keeping Your Metabolism High and Healthy

With this approach my metabolism will increase and my body will be burning more calories. I will not fear that I will gain all the weight back again because my metabolism is healthy and high.

Professional athletes like bike riders often need to take in 12.000 calories during competition because there metabolism has become so high due to all the training and being in a good shape.

It is kind of the same approach I use. I prefer to stay an hour on a treadmill instead eating a low calorie diet that would make feel I was missing something.

Breakfast as a King, Dinner as a Poor Man

Earlier I mentioned that you should be eating breakfast like a king and dinner as a poor man. With this I mean that your biggest meals should be your breakfast and then you slowly fade them out during the day.

So in the morning you could have some eggs and a good bowl of oatmeal with raisins and nuts. Good sources of proteins and carbohydrates that will be a good energy source for the day.

In the evening you just stick to fish or chicken with vegetables or a salad and leave out all the carbohydrates like potatoes and rice.

The thing is it is not only about the amount of calories you are eating, the timing of them also matter a lot. There is a huge difference from eating a bowl of rice for breakfast compared to eating the same bowl of rice right before bedtime.

The Amino Prime Diet for Weight Loss

So let us take a closer look at an actual diet you could be following in order to lose weight.

Just as if you wanted to build muscles and gain weight don’t count the calories, it will make you go nuts and you will spending too much time with statistic that will not do you any good anyway.

Do the diet for up to 6 weeks and if you do not lose weight can either increase your cardiovascular training or start to cut away food items from your meals. Remember you should cut away from all of your meal and not just one of them.

Breakfast Meal 1 (6 or 7 am)

6 egg whites

2 egg yolks

A bowl of oatmeal with skimmed milk

Squeeze in a couple of walnuts and perhaps raisins to spice it up a little

Sweetener is ok

Coffee or tea

Your breakfast is pretty much the same as if you were bulking up. At this time you need all the nutrients you can get. Your body did not get any proteins for 8 hours it is time to make sure your muscles has something to work with. The oatmeal and raisin will boost you with energy so you will have enough for the day.

Meal 2 (9 or 10 am)

A protein shake with 30 grams of protein mixed with water or skimmed milk.

Just get it over with and back to whatever you were doing.

Lunch Meal 3 (12 or 1 pm)

An important meal for the day and you need all your nutrients you will get from your meal. Not only to keep it going for the rest of the day but also for your upcoming workout you will be doing in a couple of hours. (Unless you are working out in the morning of course)

200 g of meat either chicken/fish or red meat

The best choice is white fish or salmon. Chicken without the skin is a good choice too. You need to limit red meat to only a few times during the week.

50 g of brown or Basmati rice potatoes are OK as well. Avoid pasta it is kind of a “dead” food

Salad or vegetable is good for your lunch too it is healthy and will give you vitamins and fibers. They do not contain so many calories.

Pre-Workout Meal 4 (3 or 4 PM)

Just grab a protein shake with 30 grams of protein with water or skimmed milk. If you are hungry you could have some yoghurt on the side. If you are very hungry then have a little oatmeal, it is ok it will not make you fat.

Oh yes of course remember to take your 2 capsules of the Amino Prime diet.

The Amino Prime diet will boost your energy levels and give you a lot of endurance so you can hit it extra hard in the gym. When it comes to losing weight in form of burning off body fat remember that Amino Prime comes with fat burning ingredients as well that will speed up the fat burning process in your body.

Because your nitric oxide levels will increase your veins will start to appear more pumped and stick out. This really looks cool and will keep you motivated.

Remember you should always put something in your stomach when taking the Amino Prime diet so you can digest the ingredients better.

Dinner Meal 5 (not more than one hour after your workout)

I prefer to keep my dinner as close as possible to my workout and leave out the Post Workout Meal I would normally have if I was bulking up. At this point you do not need a weight gain shake that comes with at least 600 calories. Just go home and eat as fast as possible.

Fish Dish with Amino Prime

200 to 250 grams of meat in form of chicken, fish or read meat

Between 300 to 600 grams of vegetables as many as you can eat, they will make you feel full and satisfied without adding any calories.

At this point no rice or potatoes with your dinner.

Meal 6 Before Bedtime (10 or 12 PM)

Here I would either stick to a protein shake with 30 grams of protein with water or skimmed milk, just because I would be lazy at this time. Else have some cottage cheese with some crackers, just something light. Sometime I have even had a small salad with pieces of chicken at this time.

Things to Know About This Amino Prime Diet

As I said earlier in the beginning if you do not lose weight then you can either increase your cardiovascular training which I would do or lower the amounts of calories from each meal.

If you are just starting out in the gym and want to take the Amino Prime diet to build muscles and lose weight at the same time then don’t freak out if you are not seeing any results in the first couple of weeks.

Often you will actually gain weight in the beginning, this is not because you are getting fat but because you start to build muscles and muscles weight more than fat. Normally after a few weeks it will start to fade out and you will be dropping weight.

Supplements to Use with this Amino Prime Diet

Forget about weight gainers, these contain too many calories at this point.

I would also stay away from creatine here, because it pumps water into your muscles and you may appear a little bulky.

A Good Whey Protein Shake

However I would be using whey protein as a part of my diet. Since I am still working out in order to gain muscles I will still need a high amount of protein.
